World Breast Cancer Day took place Friday, October 30. The Cape Verdean Association for the Fight Against Cancer is carrying out a series of activities aimed at raising the population’s awareness regarding the importance of breast cancer prevention, with a special focus on the adoption of practices and behaviors able to make a difference.
One of the objectives of these activities, in addition to raising the awareness of both men and women regarding the illness, is to create a “pink” movement in the city of Praia involving the largest possible number of people, encouraging them to carry out self-examinations and provide solidarity to those suffering from the disease. With this in mind, the Cape Verdean Association for the Fight Against Cancer, in partnership with various public and private entities, will set up a tent Saturday, October 31, in Praia’s Alexandre Albuquerque Square to provide medical exams and clinical analyses. |
