


Member LoginCape Verdean singer Cesária Évora will resume her word tour on March 26. The barefoot diva recently interrupted her tour while in Australia due to health concerns.
Évora was under observation at a hospital in Sydney, Australia, prior to returning to France, where she is recovering. Her physician has authorized her to travel to Russia before the end of the month for a series of concerts scheduled there.
Several of her concerts in Australia, as well as a performance scheduled for next Sunday at the Zacatecas Cultural Festival in Mexico, were cancelled due to the singer's indisposition.
In the same year she released the CD Rogamar (2006), Athe Grammy Award-winning artist underwent minor surgery, after which she resumed her performance schedule with no difficulty.
Cesária Évora was born August 27, 1941 in the city of Mindelo (on the island of São Vicente), and gained worldwide fame after turning 50.
